Sarah Smart is an English actress, best known for her role as Virginia Braithwaite in At Home with the Braithwaites.
Her career started as a child, notably in the television series Woof!. She is best known for a series of well-regarded television roles including Virginia Braithwaite, lesbian daughter of a lottery winning family in the comedy drama At Home with the Braithwaites. Sparkhouse; and her appearance in Jane Hall marked a fruitful link between Smart and television writer Sally Wainwright. In 2008, she stars as Anne-Britt Hoglund in Wallander, three feature-length adaptations of Henning Mankell's Wallander novels, for the the BBC. Smart has also featured successfully on radio.
